Hey Leo...I'm a friend of a friend..blah, blah and she was showing me your blog...anyways, long-story shortened I was wondering how you do the background at the end of the final photo of the carnival shots. I noticed it in lots of your pics...I use photoshop, any tips or hints?
Your fan,

Hi Camille,
These pictures where shot on film (Kodak 400VC). I used my Contax 645 camera with an 80mm 2.0 lens.
These images are straight out of camera no Photoshop. The background is created by shooting wide open with the Contax.
Anyway, my recommendation would be shooting faster lenses wide open to make the background go completely out of focus.
